"Memories Of Recess"
There was a time when children walked to school, when two rooms educated all ages, and playing together during recess formed the happiest of memories. This is how it would have been at Poplar Ridge Schoolhouse in Trinity, North Carolina. Located a few miles from the artist’s studio, it welcomed students from 1879 to 1953.
